VPS ASA
VPS ASA is a Norwegian public limited company authorised to register rights to financial instruments subject to the legal effects laid down in the Securities Register Act. VPS clears and settles trades in the Norwegian securities market, and provides services relating to stock issues, distribution of dividends and other corporate actions for companies registered in VPS ASA. VPS ASA’s customers comprise 225 banks, brokerage houses and mutual fund management companies which provide account, settlement and related services to more than 800,000 securities holders and more than 1,200 private and public limited companies.
MANAMIND
Manamind AS supplies web-based solutions to the securities market and offers a number of fully developed and tailored solutions, among them internet-based share trading, analysis publishing, financial intranet, Manamind Matador and investor relations services.
Manamind is also a distributor of standardised information products based on publicly available data from VPS registers.
OWNERSHIP STRUCTURE
The VPS Group is organised in a holding structure whose parent company, VPS Holding ASA, wholly owns both the operating company, VPS ASA, and Manamind AS. From 1985 to 2002 VPS was a foundation, established under the provisions of the 1985 Act relating to the Norwegian Central Securities Depository. The old legislation has been superseded by the Act relating to the Registration of Financial Instruments, which entered into force on 1 January 2003.
