Account operator for issuer
All companies (issuers) that wish to register their shares, bonds or other financial instruments with VPS must use an account operator.
The following types of entity may be authorised as account operators: Commercial banks, savings banks, credit institutions that issue bonds, fund management companies and investment firms authorised to provide investment services as defined in Section 2-1, first paragraph items 1-4 of the Securities Trading Act.
There are two categories of Account operator for issuer: Account operator for shares and equity certificates (KUA), and Account operator for bonds and short-term bonds (KUO).

An entity that wishes to become an account operator for VPS must enter into a standard affiliation agreement with VPS, and applications are subject to approval by VPS in accordance with the VPS Business Terms and Conditions.
