VPS offers a range of complementary products to carry out settlement of securities in a safe and efficient manner
VPS Settlement
VPS Settlement is an internet-based service for investment firms and settlement agents that participate in the central securities system for settlement in Norwegian kroner. The service can also be used by liquidity banks and asset managers.
Message Exchange ISO 15022
VPS uses the international standard for the exchange of electronic messages between participants in the securities markets, ISO 15022. This allows participants in the settlement system to apply the same standard for their communications with both customers and VPS.
Automatic securities lending program
The automatic securities lending program helps reduce the incidence of trades that cannot be settled by managing loans of securities.
Bilateral loans arranged through VPS
VPS offers registration of bilateral securities lending through VPS Settlement.
Extended balance check for transactions and sweeping
VPS offers a service to help ensure that settlement can be carried out as intended. If validation identifies that the securities required for settlement of a sale are not available on the investment firm’s account, extended balance checking can be used to identify securities held on another account owned by the investment firm.
VPS Own Account Trading
VPS Own Account Trading is a service for monitoring own account trading carried out by employees, elected officers and their related parties.
VPS Settlement Benchmark
VPS Settlement Benchmark provides statistics for investment firms and settlement agents that participate in the VPS settlement system. This service is also available to liquidity banks and lenders to the securities loan pool.
VPS Corporate
VPS Corporate is a web-based service designed to meet the needs of Account operator for issuer for carrying out tasks on behalf of their VPS-registered customers.
