VPS Settlement
VPS Settlement is an internet-based service for investment firms and settlement agents that participate in the central securities system for settlement in Norwegian kroner. The service can also be used by liquidity banks and asset managers.
VPS Settlement provides straightforward and speedy access for inputting trades and transfers. Users can also access information on historic transactions, holdings of securities and other information that they need in their day-to-day work. Information is presented in a well-ordered format that makes it easy to search for errors and to identify exceptions. The internet interface is user-friendly, and requires only a minimum degree of training for new users. It should be noted that the interface uses Norwegian for its menus and displays.

Query functions
- Transactions: Information on all transactions registered on a VPS account together with details of individual transactions. Users can also see lists of trades that have not yet been confirmed by the user or by the counterparty to the trade.
- Holdings: Information on holdings currently registered and future holdings, checking balances for sufficient cover, holdings at the last year-end and destination accounts for dividend payments.
- VPS account: Details of all account holders, information on individual accounts and the rights associated with each account, together with dividends from securities held on the account.
- Account mandates: Information on current mandates to view/operate an account and previous mandates no longer in force.
- Cash settlement through Norges Bank: Information on the calculated liquidity requirement in advance of the two daily settlement cycles. Historical information on liquidity requirements and settled amounts.
- ISIN information: information is provided here on all types of VPS-registered securities.
In addition to using VPS Settlement to notify and register trades, the system operates as a valuable resource for users as a backup for their own settlement systems.
